DOYLESTOWN, PA — The Michener Art Museum is adding later hours and new programming beginning in October.
If you’re not quite comfortable with public settings, the museum is now offering private 2-hour bookings on Tuesdays and Wednesdays as part of a new program dubbed “Private Eyes” in which only museum staff will be present.
“Private Eyes offers you and your quarantine bubble the opportunity to stroll our safe and clean galleries in isolation,” Executive Director Kate Quinn said in a news release. “We are delighted to be able to offer this program to friends and families looking for a private cultural experience. As we have had a few weeks to adjust to new safety protocols, we are thrilled to be able to offer additional opportunities for the community to appreciate the Michener.”
The Terrace Cafe will also be re-opening, offering pre-packaged meals to visitors, which can be eaten indoors or in the outdoor Patricia D. Pfundt Sculpture Garden.
Starting October 1 and running through Jan. 15, 2021, the new hours will be:
- Thursday, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
- Friday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Saturday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
